Our Operations department has been supporting BECIS for almost a year on the operational side of its development in the Cambodian market.

Last month, the company was officially admitted as a Qualified Investment Project (QIP) by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

The biomass factory is part of the 12 new investment projects that the CDC approved as QIP in February 2022. Since the beginning of the year, the CDC has admitted a total of 37 QIP investment projects worth about USD $2.38 billion!

Following the groundbreaking ceremony held on 8 December 2021, this is another important milestone in the journey of this important project for the sustainable future of the Kingdom.

Co-ordinated by Confluences, the QIP application for the BECIS biomass plant project is part of the investment journey. The QIP status was obtained in only 3 months, and at the end of the process a Final Registration Certificate (FRC) was granted to the project, as well as specific investment incentives depending on the nature of the project.

As a reminder, BECIS is hosted in our business center, and they provide energy solutions to help its customers meet their three main energy challenges: achieving their sustainability goals, improving supply resilience, and reducing costs.
