Confluences joins the Cambodian Commercial Representatives Working Group (Ministry of Commerce) working on upcoming ‘Commercial Intelligence Course’ capacity training program to Cambodia’s first ever 24 commercial attachés in 16 countries worldwide to strengthen Cambodia’s trade diplomacy.
The program aims to equip attachés with the knowledge and tools needed to promote Cambodia as a destination for investment, strengthen the Kingdom’s trade diplomacy to Commercial Representative Offices across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America including the leading economic hubs such as United States, China, United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore and Russia.
As Cambodia’s first point of entry for international investors and businesses, commercial attachés play a big role in representing the country abroad. The training is being designed around the essential parts of trade intelligence: analyzing foreign markets, understanding competitors, assessing risks, navigating trade policies, and guiding Cambodian businesses through market entry strategies. This will help Cambodia build a stronger trade representation network, opening doors to more diversified markets and creating better access for Cambodian exports.
Drawing on a decade of experience in market entry and business intelligence, Confluences is helping the training focus on core elements and tools to ensure that attachés are equipped to provide reliable insights to promote country's interests, support local businesses in foreign markets, and identify economic opportunities for both Cambodian and international businesses.
“Cambodia’s future in global trade could also come down to how well we prepare our people with the right commercial intelligence. At Confluences, part of our work has always been about turning insight into opportunity. This program gives us the chance to pass on that knowledge and experience to our country’s commercial attachés who will represent Cambodia abroad. So, for us, it’s both a responsibility and an honor.” - Dara N. VAN, Market Access Manager of Confluences.
