Concorde and Convergences were appointed as consultants for BizConnect, an EU’s funded initiative to strengthen industry-aligned ASEAN workforces. Both senior experts customized modules and facilitated a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop destined to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Government representatives and private sectors partners from five ASEAN Member States to build their capacity for planning and executing their BizConnect events.
Funded by the European Union under the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package - Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE), the capacity-building initiative, BizConnect, contributes to fostering an inclusive workforce in ASEAN that is responsive to the evolving labor market structure and employer needs. That is achieved through building multi-stakeholder collaboration, sustainable skills development, and improved TVET graduate employability.

BizConnect built on a successful initiative implemented in six agricultural TVET schools in Myanmar in 2018, under the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP), supported by the Dutch Government and implemented by Nuffic. Now, the initiative is being adapted to the broader ASEAN perspective by Eric MOUSSET, Senior Partner of Concorde, and Denis BARRE, Managing Partner of Convergences. This custom-developed BizConnect module and toolkit address shared labor market challenges across the region through the lens of regional strategic priorities including the green transition, digital transformation, and sustainability.

“This ToT workshop offered a refreshing opportunity to revisit the very foundations of the TVET-Employer relationship. I was thrilled to sense genuine engagement and traction from participants, all joining hands and forces toward building fruitful linkages."— Eric MOUSSET, Senior Partner of Concorde

Concorde and Convergences' customized BizConnect module was successfully delivered at their four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) event in Bali, Indonesia, from April 7 to 10, 2026. The regional pilot brought together 20 delegates from five ASEAN Member States: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, and Indonesia.
Each delegation included representatives from three types of stakeholders: TVET institutions, government, European or national Chamber of Commerce to ensure TVET curricula and training programmes remain relevant to current job market demands.
_1200x657.webp)
The delegations were equipped with the practical skills and strategic tools necessary to plan, coordinate, and execute BizConnect events in their home countries which will be an impactful event to drive direct conversations and potential partnerships between TVET institutions and the private sectors.
Confluences’ spin-off companies, Concorde and Convergences, have been individually playing vital roles in advancing sustainable development through people, skills, and strategic partnerships; a great example is initiatives like BizConnect. Their collaboration reflects how the Confluences ecosystem drives growth across different parts of social and economic landscape, building a meaningful collaboration for long-term impact across the region.
