We hinted at this project several months ago; Confluences Ventures wants to tackle the traffic challenges in Phnom Penh, starting with a project suggesting boat routes to move quickly and conveniently across the bustling city and its suburbs.
Within the framework of this project, we can proudly announce that Confluences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tint Tint Myanmar group which has for several years been operating the water bus/ferry routes on the Irrawaddy River in Yangon.
Our project was presented to the Cambodian authorities during the visit of Mrs. Tint Tint Lwin, CEO of the eponymous group, in early March. It is worth noting that the Cambodian government, which has just relaunched its own water bus routes on the Mekong River, is willing to discuss a possible partnership on this project.
There is still a long way to go before this project comes to fruition, but an important first step has been taken with this MOU.
