Double Engagement at Major Business Events in Vietnam

June 12, 2025
President Macron’s visit sparks dialogue on Vietnam’s economic future: Roundtable with institutional and private sector representatives at the French Embassy in Hanoi.

Confluences leadership met the French business community in Vietnam through a strategic double visit in late May, participating in La French Tech Summit in Ho Chi Minh City and President Macron’s official visit with the French Business Mission in Hanoi.

Building Bridges in Hanoi: A Strategic Networking Event Amid President Macron’s Visit

During President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Southeast Asia (May 26–30), Hanoi hosted key networking events to strengthen France-Vietnam ties. These included an exclusive event aligned with Macron’s visit, featuring President Macron and a delegation of company leaders engaged in high-level discussions. Simultaneously, MEDEF International and Business France delegations connected with both the public and private sectors in Vietnam to promote collaboration.

Through Confluences, as a Business France certified business provider and partner, Gérard SAN represented Cambodia, attending a roundtable with Vietnamese and French companies and a business luncheon. This provided an ideal opportunity to remind French companies operating in Asia or considering regional entry of Cambodia’s strategic position and attractive assets: despite being a smaller market, Cambodia has demonstrated agility and strong regional potential— advantages that deserve attention among international partners.

“Cambodia’s agility and partnership culture are key assets that make it compelling for companies looking to expand beyond saturated markets into ecosystems still under construction.“ stressed Gérard SAN, Confluences’ representative who engaged in discussions with companies in the agriculture, transportation, and food industry, highlighting the country’s emerging opportunities.

With Cambodia set to host the Francophonie Summit in 2026, the timing could not be more relevant to foster new collaborations and boost the country’s visibility in the global community.
