The Trading Department has equipped the Royal Phnom Penh Hospital with more than 1000 square meters of Gerflor flooring and Gradus finishing products.
The Royal Phnom Penh Hospital is a private hospital located in the heart of the Cambodian capital, which provides a wide range of health care services. It is part of the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) group, which operates 49 hospitals in Thailand and in the APAC region, including the popular Bangkok Hospital.
The Gerflor Group, founded in 1937, is an expert and world leader known especially for the quality of its flooring. The company creates, manufactures, and markets innovative, decorative and eco-responsible complete solutions for resilient floors, wall coverings, and accessibility furnishings, from installation to finishing for professionals and consumers.
Founded in 1966, the Gradus brand offers solutions for carpets, barrier matting, wall protection and LED lighting systems, in addition to a comprehensive range of stair edging and floor trim profiles.
Our Trading team installed 840 square meters of "Gerflor Mipolam Troplan Plus" flooring on the sixth floor of the hospital. This range is particularly efficient against viruses thanks to a protection named "Evecare" (EN standard - Antiviral activity - ISO Standard 21702) which contributes to decreasing the risk of a contamination chain.
In addition, the maternity rooms of the Royal Phnom Penh Hospital have been equipped with more than 160 square meters of Gerflor flooring from the "Taralay Emotion" range. These Gerflor surfaces are commonly used in the medical sector for rest rooms because they offer a wide variety of patterns and designs that contribute to the well-being of patients.
It also offers the customer a realistic imitation of light-coloured parquet. For this project, the use of Gerflor products allowed for the implementation of original designs which are dedicated to the world of children!
Our Trading teams finalised this installation using Gradus brand finishing products in order to meet the hygiene standards regulated in hospitals.
They used cove formers as well as capping seals to effortlessly seal the junctions between the edge of the floors and the walls. Contrary to classic baseboards, this technique avoids the concentration of dirt and also facilitates the cleaning thereby helping maintain the vital hygiene standards.
Aluminum threshold trims were also installed to create a safe transition between the different types of floorcoverings. The design of this product allows for the fixing and concealment of the edges of the floorcovering, while protecting it, and provides a neat and crisp finish.
