Our Confluences team had a second sustainability training session with Ms. Sarah KOLBENSTETTER, the Founder of the Little Green Spark, this time the topic was “Why Waste Is An Issue & What We Can Do About It: An Introduction To Zero Waste".

Our team enjoyed learning new engaging activities about the impacts of plastic in Cambodia and has a better understanding of which types of plastic are suitable for recycling and re-use following the first training session held in May.  If you are interested, you can contact Ms. Sarah via telephone at +855 (0) 11 44 20 27 or via email at info@littlegreenspark.com

At Confluences, our team has been involved a lot in the environmental impact work. We recently installed a compost box from Compost City at our office back entrance to create a green workspace environment for our team and residents. We believe in the compost system as organic waste represents about 60% of our total waste. With the composting system, we are able to recycle food waste which we believe will add more nutrients, carbon, and moisture to the soil. In addition, this is also a fun engaging activity for our team and residents to participate in!

Since early June 2023, we have been participating in the “Cambodia Energy Efficiency Competition” with an aim of creating a better environment while engaging in long-term sustainability. Our Eco-Fluences team is passionate about supporting and alerting our community and residents by being mindful of our energy consumption. We will release more information about our team activities in this competition in the upcoming months.

This is not the first time that our team has been involved in environmental impacts. In 2022, we participated in the “One Step No Plastic Campaign,” and earlier in 2023, we also installed the Ecobatt Battery Recycling Bin at our office to prevent batteries from ending up in our landfills.

For more information about our initiative, you can contact one of our Eco-fluences team, Mr. Monichesda NEM via telephone at +855 (0) 95 69 64 68 or via email at monichesda.nem@confluences.asia
