Immersive Angkor has reached a new stage as the “Living Art Pavilion” of Living Art Village, where this immersive experience will be located, officially broke ground on February 23, 2026. Immersive Angkor and Artisans Angkor partner on this joint location to create a new tourism ecosystem for Khmer cultural heritage, blending traditional and modern experiential concepts that will position Siem Reap as a leading tourist destination in Southeast Asia.

Immersive Angkor was initiated and developed by Confluences. Following a successful fundraising phase, the project is now progressing to a new stage under a dedicated team, with continued on-the-ground support from the Confluences team.

Integrated Cultural Destination Driving Strategic Growth

The Living Art Village, a US$5 million cultural hub in Siem Reap re-developed by Artisans Angkor, aims to position the city as a leading regional attraction while revitalizing its economy. Covering one hectare, this integrated village features museums, retail, artist residencies, and much more within different campuses.  The component of the village, the “Living Art Pavilion” will host our Immersive Angkor, the new Artisans Angkor flagship store as well as a prints lab and bookstore, a rooftop café, a Khmer brasserie, and an aperitivo bar.

"Everyone is eager to know what will bring new excitement to Siem Reap for both local and international tourism," said Mr. Kay LOT, Managing Director of Artisans Angkor. "With this investment, we are revealing the future. We believe the Living Art Village is another reason travelers will choose to extend their stay in Siem Reap. It is designed to create a powerful tourism pulse that will benefit the provincial economy in the long run."

Key stakeholders performed the groundbreaking, including (L–R) H.E. Dr. CHAU SUN Kérya, Advisor to the APSARA National Authority (ANA); LCT Oknha CHHAY Sivlin, President of the Cambodia Tourism Association; H.E. Dr. HANG Peou, Director General of ANA; Mr. NGOV Sengkak, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap; Kay LOT, Managing Director of Artisans Angkor; and Soreasmey KE BIN, CEO of Immersive Angkor and Confluences.

This collaboration between Immersive Angkor and Artisans Angkor is more than just a co-location. It is a strategic partnership to preserve and promote our heritage in a full day journey for tourists to experience complementary layers of Khmer culture: from immersive museum of Angkor’s history, a live craftsmanship of unique handmade pieces, and culture-inspired hospitality experiences.

Once open, Immersive Angkor and the Living Art Village will diversify Siem Reap’s tourism landscape. By offering innovative, technology-integrated attractions, this ecosystem enriches the visitor's journey and encourages longer stays. This will directly contribute to the city’s overall economic growth.

Confluences and Artisans Angkor team visited the construction site, scheduled for completion in November 2026.

“Siem Reap has been moving into a hub for high-value and immersive tourism experiences. Immersive Angkor is the missing puzzle piece for this transition that will complement the traditional Angkor visit. With Artisans Angkor, we are creating a powerful alliance that preserves local craftsmanship while proving that Siem Reap is ready for digital innovation in the tourism industry.” said Chris VARIN, Siem Reap Branch Manager of Confluences.

Immersive Angkor is Southeast Asia’s first digital heritage experience. Using ultra-realistic 3D animations and 360-degree projections, it takes visitors on a journey through narrative capsules that recount major historical events of the Angkorian Empire and films, offering an immersive discovery of several archaeological sites. Following our presentation to and endorsement by Cambodian Prime Minister HUN MANET, Immersive Angkor team has been working closely with APSARA National Authority as well as ICONEM on the 3D scanning of the Angkor Archaeological Park, to welcome Siem Reap’s visitors to experience our Immersive Angkor at the Living Art Village by Q4 2026.
