Mobilised for Cambodia’s Francophonie Economic Ecosystem

October 7, 2026
Confluences CEO Soreasmey KE BIN at the recent preparation meeting for REF 2026, chaired by Neak Oknha KITH Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Vice-President for Asia of the Alliance des Patronats Francophones.

‍

Cambodia is preparing for a landmark moment in its engagement with the Francophone world as the 20th Summit of La Francophonie brings international decisionmakers, investors, and business leaders to the Kingdom.

For many years, Confluences has helped international companies understand Cambodia, build the right local connections and develop their activities in the country and across the Greater Mekong Subregion. Today, we are mobilising our expertise, teams and networks to support the major economic initiatives being organised around the Summit.
‍

Contributing across the November Programme

Our contribution includes supporting the Rencontre des Entrepreneurs Francophones 2026, known as La REF, and serving as an Official Ecosystem Partner of FrancoTech 2026, under a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia (MPTC), the organiser of the event.
‍

As part of this partnership, Confluences is curating and delivering FrancoTech’s Investment Session. That includes mobilising keynote speakers, panellists, and industry experts in coordination with the MPTC, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and BRED Bank.

Through CEO Soreasmey KE BIN’s role as Ambassador for Southeast Asia of the Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF), Confluences has helped present and promote La REF 2026 across the APF network and mobilise business leaders and delegations to take part in the event and in the wider economic programme taking place in Cambodia this November.

The Confluences team is contributing to several other events surrounding the Summit:

  • Through her role as Deputy Treasurer of CCI France Cambodge, our Market Access Manager, Dara N. VAN, is supporting the organisation of the France Cambodia Business Forum.
  • For FrancoTech, Soreasmey KE BIN will be on the judging panel for its innovation competition and moderate the panel "Living Heritage in the Digital Era: Responsible Innovation for Sustainable Tourism and Intercultural Bridges for Peace".
  • Several executives from Confluences and companies within our wider group, together with representatives of our partners and clients, are also being considered as speakers, panellists or contributors across different events. Those include the Black Swan Summit Cambodia and the Cycle scientifique francophone d’Asie-Pacifique, organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie, which Sotheavy MERMILLON, Service Manager of Confluences Operations, will join as a speaker.

To help participants navigate this exceptionally rich programme, Confluences has also created a consolidated Francophonie Events Calendar, bringing together the official, associated and parallel events across November.

‍

“This November is not only about hosting a series of major international events. It is an opportunity to connect Cambodia with business leaders, investors and experts from across the Francophone world, and to turn these conversations into concrete partnerships. Confluences is mobilising its teams and networks to help make that happen.”

A Long Standing Role in Connecting Communities

‍

Our role within the Francophone business community builds on years of engagement with chambers of commerce, employers’ organisations, trade agencies, and public institutions across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa and beyond.

Central to this commitment is our collaboration with key international networks:‍
‍

Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF): Through Soreasmey KE BIN’s role as APF Ambassador for Southeast Asia, Confluences contributed to Cambodia’s successful candidacy to host La REF in 2026 and has since helped promote La REF and the wider Francophonie Summit programme to business communities through the APF’s international network, including during its European mission.
xx‍
‍

Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF): The OIF provides an important framework for cooperation in areas including economic development, trade, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation and digital transformation. Confluences supported the first OIF economic mission to Cambodia and has contributed to other initiatives aimed at strengthening economic engagement with the Kingdom.‍

‍

‍

Turning Participation into Lasting Engagement

Confluences is ready to help companies and institutions turn their participation in these events into lasting engagement with Cambodia and the Mekong region.
