Ventures: The New Confluences Creation!

April 28, 2021

Confluences is now a driving force for projects! Via our new Ventures Department, we want to initiate our own projects in the Cambodian market, and in ASEAN, with technological and/or financial partners selected by us.

Recently, Confluences Ventures withdrew from the capital of Wendgo by selling its shares to its two co-founders. Wendgo offers a portfolio of digital services focused on point-of-sale management for retailers and restaurants.

Simultaneously, the Ventures Department continues to develop its portfolio of interests in high potential, innovative and sustainable companies and maintains its stake in the start-up Last2ticket, the legal tech firm Belaws, and the IT company Asia Data Destruction.

Finally, 2021 is also the year we launch the innovative Immersive Angkor project in partnership with the French start-up Iconem. This project also serves to fulfil the mission of the Cambodian government to attract a diversity of visitors to the Kingdom, making Siem Reap a high-end destination and combat the slowing growth in tourist arrivals in the region, which begun even before prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delivering a combination of education and new technologies, this museum is the first permanent virtual museum dedicated to the Khmer culture and the Angkor temples.
