June 28, 2021

The Access department has been entrusted with a project by the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF). They will report on the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

This project has two objectives. The team will endeavour to list all of the existing structures and programmes to support Cambodian entrepreneurs, and secondly, report on the current state of the ecosystem.

To complete their assessment, the team conducted a survey of the global ecosystem, as well as carrying out interviews with entrepreneurs, members of the government, and professionals from all types of industries such as investment funds, incubators, NGOs and universities.

The report will be delivered Q3 2021, and will include an overview of the strengths and weaknesses of the ecosystem.

Confluences would like to thank all of the participants who agreed to give up their time to analyse this fast developing ecosystem. There is no doubt that with the expertise of this network, many wonderful projects will arise!
