The Role


Malongo is a French coffee brand created in 1934, and is now ranked number one on the organic and fair trade coffee markets. With various types of choices, and high-quality products starting from ground coffee, bean coffee, pre-dosed, to tea and infusion, Malongo suits best for every type of consumer B2B or B2C to enjoy their taste characteristics.


Malongo is now reentering the Cambodian market after several years of discontinued services, its exclusive distribution has been taken over by Confluences. To pursue this development, Confluences is now actively looking for a new Business Development Officer for Malongo coffee to expand its products and services in the Cambodian market.


As a Business Development Officer for Malongo, you will be responsible for representing the Malongo in all aspects of product development including branding, sales, marketing, customer service and social media. You'll also work closely with other departments across Confluences to ensure we take the right actions at every stage of growth.



The Business Development Officer is responsible for promoting Malongo brand and its products to customers, partners, and other stakeholders to build trust with them through effective communication of their needs as well as building relationships with key business contacts across all channels. This position will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships through positive interactions with clients while maintaining an open dialogue about product offerings and services. In addition, this role also works closely with Confluences and Malongo marketing teams on new initiatives to be developed or implemented.


  • Develop Client’s portfolio, engage with prospective and existing customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business contacts.
  • Develop a clear understanding of brand strategy for each type of customer.
  • Promote the brand and its products to customers and partners.
  • Represent our brand at promotional events and other marketing initiatives.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns in-person, by phone, and via social media.
  • Promote our brand via our social media accounts.
  • Coordinate logistics and arrange end-customer delivery.


  • Post-secondary education focusing on Business, Marketing, or Sales.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a similar role considered a strong asset.
  • Fluent in Khmer, proficiency in English is required, French would be a great plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and own form of transportation.
  • Ability to work on a variable schedule.
  • Personality: problem-solving, presentation and social skills, proactive, flexible, self-organized, result-oriented, and good team spirit.
